“Safety & Efficacy of Medical Cannabis (1879-2018).” Dr. Morgan, a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Penn State, received an MD from Drexel University (Hahnemann). He is the first Medical Doctor in Pennsylvania certified by the American Academy of Cannabinoid Medicine.
Following training in Ob/Gyn and internal medicine, he practiced Medicine and outpatient Gynecology at Eagleville Hospital, a Drug & Alcohol Rehab, near Philadelphia. He went on to a 25 year career in the pharmaceutical industry in drug safety and clinical research where he identified birth defects and other toxicities from ACE inhibitors and drugs for ADD as well as successfully negotiated safety issues with the FDA, among other public health contributions. Clinical Cannabis training included an office-based Cannabis medicine Fellowship in California specializing in CBD: THC ratio dosing, terpene optimization, and working with dronabinol (FDA-approved synthetic THC).

Patterson U in the cannabinoid research lab of Prof. Emmanuel S. Onaivi, and presents on medical Cannabis topics for the Pennsylvania Pain Society. He has a US patent pending involving cannabinoids and terpenes with data presented at the International Cannabinoid Research Society. He has published original research in ultrastructural pathology of fetal kidneys, ectopic pregnancy-related kidney failure, and in pharmacology.
