Medical-marijuana advocates gathered in Pittsburgh on Friday. The city played host to the World Medical Cannabis Conference and Expo.
Thousands of people from around the world came to learn about the benefits of medical marijuana.
Hector Elizalde said it changed his daughter’s life. The 9-year-old girl had hundreds of seizures and not even brain surgery could stop them.
But cannabidiol did.
“When you see a child suffering as much as my daughter or other patients, it’s wrong not to give them the opportunity to feel better,” Elizalde said.
The conference continues Saturday at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center downtown.
