Pittsburgh steel forged America’s great cities and iconic skylines, now it’s paving the way for the nation’s next great industry.

Cannabis industry professionals from across the country will converge at the World Medical Cannabis Conference and Expo (WMCCExpo), April 12-14.

The large-scale event will showcase the latest in cannabis technology, innovation, and research. Open to the public, the expo also serves as a networking hub for those interested in entering the industry. It will host an intensive Cannabis Career Workshop, where attendees may bring their resumes for local and national hiring companies.

Legal cannabis is one of the fastest growing industries in the country, employing 121,000 people last year. This number is estimated to double by 2021. Strategically located in America’s eastern heartland, the WMCCExpo illuminates the industry’s potential as a job creator, both in urban and rural environments.

Along with its East/Midwest setting, the WMCCExpo differs from other events due to its medical foundation. Hosted by Compassionate Certification Centers, the organization is a national healthcare network led by physicians.

It is estimated that nearly 500,000 patients are able to qualify for Pennsylvania medical marijuana cards. The state is already poised to develop into one of the country’s largest markets with dispensary sales expected to reach $100 million in a few years.

This year, the expo will offer onsite Pennsylvania medical cannabis evaluations, along with other patient and family-focused highlights.

Who Should Attend?

The WMCC Expo’s diverse, three-day agenda encompasses a full spectrum of topics and is educational to the core. A 420 Walk/Run hosted by the 420 Games will kick-off festivities on Thursday, April 12. Inspiring wellness and driving fitness, the free, public event will follow ascenic route along the cities Three Rivers.

“Our conference aims to establish a more inclusive and progressive healthcare dialogue by integrating medical marijuana resources, science and education into mainstream medicine. As providers, it is our duty to educate ourselves and others, because in the end, what we do is ultimately for our patients,” stated Dr. Bryan Doner, co-founder of the WMCCExpo.

Who is Speaking?

Keynote presentations include the “Suit Against Sessions,” where plaintiffs U.S. Army Combat Veteran Jose Belen, Super Bowl winner Marvin Washington, and advocate Sebastien Cotte will discuss their federal lawsuit against Jeff Sessions in favor of the legal cannabis industry.
