TheAnswerPage.com, founded by Stephen B. Corn, MD, is a continuing medical education (CME) website that has been providing CME certified content worldwide since 1998 and has become a recognized leader in providing unbiased peer-reviewed medical content focused on medical cannabis, pain and the opioid epidemic. Dr. Stephen B. Corn will be onsite, attending and hosting the educational program at this seminar. Please see our speaker page for Dr. Corn’s biography.
To help physicians, nurses and pharmacists meet the needs of their patients, in 2012 Stephen B. Corn, MD and Meredith Fisher-Corn, MD, Editor-in-Chief of TheAnswerPage, developed an extensive library of medical cannabis syllabus topics, including content written by world-renowned medical cannabis researchers and clinicians. TheAnswerPage’s accredited educational courses address the endocannabinoid system, phytocannabinoids, the administration of cannabinoid medicines, the physiologic and cognitive effects of cannabinoid medicines, the therapeutic uses of cannabinoid medicines and much, much, more.
TheAnswerPage recognizes that patient and caregiver education is equally important, and thus has launched a comprehensive medical cannabis educational course for patients and caregivers, too.
The medical cannabis course offered at the 2017 World Medical Cannabis Conference & Expo is perfect for all types of healthcare providers. Attendees of the course will hear about the latest medical cannabis information from TheAnswerPage’s team of experts. Following the non-credit lecture portion, attendees will have access to TheAnswerPage.com’s medical cannabis CME on-line library for an entire year and can earn up to 22.5 CME credits, including risk management hours, at no additional charge. TheAnswerPage database stores and organizes each participants CME information and allows subscribers to easily download, email, or print CME certificates at any time.
Nurses in Pennsylvania can use the CME credits to meet their requirement, which is 30 credit hours. This is tremendous news. Download the FAQs to learn more.
TheAnswerPage is read in more than 120 countries. Major US and international universities link to TheAnswerPage as an educational resource. U.S. state senators, state health department officials, the presidents of state medical associations, advocacy group leaders and foreign governmental health officials have consulted with TheAnswerPage about the educational needs of physicians, nurses, pharmacists, patients and caretakers.
Currently, the CME credits are available to earn for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and Pennsylvania licensed nurses. For RN’s it is dependent on their state board, and in PA, the credits we are offering are valid for them.
Attendees will have up to one year to complete and receive credits, which will be done via online access to TheAnswerPage.com (TAP). In order to receive credits, attendees will need to log into TAP, complete the required and relevant course material, pass a test, and then will be able to immediately print a certificate that indicates the number of CME credits earned. This certificate can then be submitted to their governing bodies for processing and credit.
Yes, the CME credits are valid nationwide, in any US state.
The live lectures (non-CME certified) during the event will focus on an introduction to Medical Cannabis. This will include the information on the science and physiology of the endocannabinoid system as well as an introduction to certain legal, political and sociopolitical factors. Following the live lectures, attendees will have access to the TAP educational medical cannabis library, which includes more detailed, sub-specialty type of material (i.e. therapeutic use of cannabis in epilepsy and many other disease states).
“The online MMJ CME education that I received through TheAnswerPage was absolutely fantastic. From a clinician standpoint, TheAnswerPage’s CME offerings provide a tremendous clinical background and current state of affairs with regard to MMJ, and provide clinicians with the baseline education that is required in this new and expanding area of medicine. The online program is easy to use, interesting, efficient and comprehensive. The fact that their programs are used by state governments to educate physicians on MMJ shows their commitment to provider education. I would highly recommend their online programs to any of my colleagues and in fact will likely use The Answer Page for the duration of my career,” Bryan Doner, DO, CHWS, FAPWCA, FACHM.
